Amidst Nigerians’ ongoing outcry over soaring living expenses and hunger, former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed contentment with President Bola Tinubu’s performance. Speaking through Stanley Nkwocha, the spokesperson for Vice-President Kashim Shettima, during a visit to Buhari in Daura, Katsina, Buhari stated:
“I am pleased with their ability to stabilize the situation and their ongoing concern for Nigerians. I am satisfied with their performance.”
Buhari’s endorsement of the current administration coincides with ongoing protests nationwide against the high cost of living and food prices. Despite Nigeria’s economic challenges, notable figures like Fuji musicians Wasiu “Kwam-1” Ayinde and Olaiya Igwe, who supported Tinubu’s candidacy, have voiced concerns about escalating food costs.
Moreover, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, leading the Northern Traditional Council, has cautioned that increasing poverty, hunger, and insecurity may incite people to revolt against Tinubu’s government.
Now, here’s a question for everyone:
