The Transition Committee Chairman Arochukwu L.G.A Hon. Prince Dan Kalu has taken time to reveal is numerous achievements and on going projects since he resumed as the head of the council few months ago.
Speaking on a Telephone interview with A News Source, Prince Kalu explained that presently he is building the first ever story building in the council which will be used as an office complex, stating that the new story building will provide more accomodation for workers, will also improve on the estatic of the council and likewise add value to the local government as a whole.
He said that apart from the office complex, he has also embarked on building a hospital in Amaeke Abam which is 90% completed and will be ready by the end of November 2019, while adding that there is a Customary Court building project handled by his office which is at the roofing stage Abam, regretting that the only court that is in the area was bult in 1962 and has become old.
When asked why he decided to appoint about 35 women into his administration as Personal Assistants, the Council boss explained that the women were employed because they are widows so that they will be receiving between N20,000 to N30,000 per month to carter for their respective families, pointing out that while growing up, he met his widow mother suffering and he made a covenant to God that he will always bless widows and wipe their tears.
