Hip-hop artist Obidiz is being sued by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo for defamation of character and unauthorized use of name and picture.
In response to the release of Obidiz’s most recent single, Mercy Chinwo, Mercy Chinwo initiated a lawsuit against him.
The singer of the song used Mercy Chinwo as an example of a wayward club lady in the phrase.
“She did split the cake with me, but she refused to commit. Mercy Chinwo for worship, but Cardi B at the club, please.
The gospel musician filed a lawsuit alleging that Obidiz used Mercy Chinwo’s name and image in secular music audio and video in a derogatory and defamatory manner and issued a “Notice to stop and desist.”
The letter instructs Obidiz to refrain from further but if he did not take down the song it may attract 2,000,000,000,000.
